I’m not sure why I’m venturing into this realm. I’ve been avoiding it as long as possible but I just couldn’t resist any longer. It seems like everyone has a blog and if you’re not doing it you must be missing out on something.

There is something intriguing about blogging. There’s something encouraging about people being the least bit interested in navigating to your blog - even if they never come back. I assume there is some sort of weird self gratification in knowing that someone out there wants to see what you have to say. I guess the intrigue also has to do with the fact that we get to sit on the same platform as other “professional” bloggers without even having to earn it. It’s almost like being an amateur and playing on the same ice as a professional hockey team or not being able to sing a single note and yet singing on the same stage as a world class opera singer. No matter how good or how bad you may be, you still get to act like a pro. It’s ultimately delusions of grandeur that will most likely never come to pass I suppose. But even then, it’s still intriguing…

Then there’s the fears that this will be just another failure and I’ll end up giving up on it all together. The obvious questions of will I post enough, will I have enough time, will it even be of worth, and will I cause someone to go into postmortem due to pure boredom, are the initial thoughts I have in starting this. But I guess it really doesn’t matter. If you go into it simply doing for yourself and no one else, and somehow, some way other people benefit, then who really cares what happens. Bah…I’m thinking about it way to much. I guess it’s just time to move forward. Hopefully in the future the posts will just be much more interesting than just plain musings.

I don’t have much in terms of plans for the blog. Change the layout and presentation of the page, write about things that pique my interest and I just can’t hold my tongue any longer…etc. Hopefully it will be an outlet for myself more than anything and at the same time entertain or inform someone. I guess time will tell…
